According to tech site The Information, Apple plans to launch its new video service in 100 countries worldwide in one day. Competitors such as Amazon, Netflix and YouTube rolled out gradually. Apple wants to gain a large share of the online video industry in the short term and will therefore offer the service for free for all its Apple products. Well-known Hollywood stars such as Steve Carell, Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, James Corden and Jennifer Aniston have also been contracted for their own content productions.
