In addition to a large group of children, singer Maan de Steenwinkel makes her feature film debut as Joy, the older sister of main character Paul in the family film The Club of Ugly Children. Paul is a boy with floppy ears, played by Sem Huismann, who has to flee to avoid being locked up in a prison for ugly children.
