Nikolas Karakatsanis has won the Prize for Best Photography at the Brussels Short Film Festival. This is for the work he provided for the short film Siemiany by Philip James McGoldrick, which had previously been selected for, among others, the Berlinale Shorts. Siemiany has previously been selected for Indielisboa, the Seattle International Film Festival and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, among others. With the prize in Brussels, Siemiany does not have his first prize or mention. The short film was recently awarded as best at the Sehnsüchte Short Film Festival.
