Pupkin, producer of successful series and films such as Smeris, Aanmodderfakker and the first Netflix Original series in the Netherlands, has a new shareholder. The Tuvalu Media Group, founded in 2006 and part of the French media company Newen, is taking a strategic stake in Pupkin. The founders Pieter Kuipers, Iris Otten and Sander van Meurs remain shareholders and maintain day-to-day management. With this new partner, Pupkin can shape its ambitions faster and more concretely and the company will have direct access to the international network of the Tuvalu Media Group and Newen. This creates new opportunities for co-productions, distribution and financing.
