As part of the World Soundtrack Awards, Film Fest Gent celebrates Philippe Sarde's impressive career with the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award, followed by an anthology of his film music. The French film composer is known for the versatility of his music, ranging from impressive symphonic work to pure jazz. Sarde collaborated with several leading directors such as Claude Sautet, Bertrand Tavernier, Yves Boisset, Andr? T?chin?, Roman Polanski, Jean-Jacques Annaud, Marco Ferreri, Jacques Doillon and even Robert Bresson.
