Belgian animator Kim Keukeleire received dozens of emails every day from Wes Anderson when they worked together on Isle of Dogs. The American director worked on the film from his home in Paris. The animators and puppet makers in turn worked in different cities and sometimes even continents. No fewer than 27 main animators worked with ten assistants on the most important scenes of Isle of Dogs. A total of 670 people worked on the film, which consists of 144,000 images.
