The film Brimstone won an award during the presentation of the Ensors, the Flemish Film Prizes, at the Ostend Film Festival. Brimstone won an Ensor for Best Co-Production Netherlands. Producer Els Vandevorst was in Ostend to receive the prize. "I am how proud that the first prize for this film is a prize in the co-production category, because this co-production has been an enormously complicated job. It is great to win this," said Vandevorst.
