This year's first round of nominees for the 17th World Soundtrack Awards includes multiple Oscar nominees and winners, a former Discovery of the Year winner and today's top television music composers. As already announced, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to David Shire ('The Conversation', 'All the President's Men') in line with the WSAwards spotlight on jazz music.
