Pieter-Jan De Pue's debut The Land of the Enlightened was awarded two prizes at the Tarkovsky Festival in Russia last night. The hybrid documentary not only won the Audience Award, but also took home the Professional Achievement Award. In its report, the jury of the Tarkovsky Festival praised the way in which De Pue's expertise as a photographer also shines through in his directorial debut The Land of the Enlightened, and awarded him the Professional Achievement Award for this.
