At nWave Pictures, the Belgian animation studio behind Robinson Crusoe, The House of Magic, Sammy's Adventures and Fly Me to the Moon, they were inspired by folklore to make The Son of Bigfoot. Work is currently underway in Brussels on the computer film, which is directed by Ben Stassen and Jérémie Degruson. In Cannes it was announced that the budget is 23 million euros, of which five million was raised through the tax shelter of Belga Films Fund.
