Edwin Jonker and Fockeline Ouwerkerk play two of the leading roles in the new Dutch romantic comedy Tuintje in mijn hart. The film tells about Alex, a Surinamese who has lived in the Netherlands for 20 years and is married to a Dutch woman. Alex has not been back to his native country in all that time. But then they accept an invitation from his family to spend Christmas in Suriname. The film will be largely shot in Suriname in March. The rest of the cast will be announced Tuesday afternoon. The intention is that Tuintje in mijn hart will be shown in Dutch cinemas in early 2017.
