Netflix announced in Berlin that it has acquired the exclusive SVOD (subscription video on demand) world rights - with the exception of the Benelux, German-speaking Europe and France - for Felix van Groeningen's Belgica. This is a world first, it is the first time that a Belgian film is sold worldwide to Netflix. Director Felix van Groeningen and producer Dirk Impens are extremely pleased with this deal, as it increases Belgica's audience reach exponentially.
