More than half a million people have seen Bon Bini Holland in the cinema. A spokeswoman for film distributor Entertainment One Benelux speaks of "a fantastic number". There is no award for reaching 500,000 filmgoers. On January 4, the film was awarded a Platinum Film for reaching 400,000 visitors.
