The Land of the Enlightened, the feature debut of Pieter-Jan De Pue, is one of eight films that are part of the Tiger Awards Competition of the Rotterdam International Film Festival. The film has a chance to win the main prize worth €40,000. De Pue's crossover between fiction and documentary about Afghan children has its European premiere in Rotterdam. The festival takes place from January 27 to February 7, 2016.
