Black, the new feature film by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, attracted almost 54,000 visitors to Belgian cinemas during its first week. In addition, Paris-based Paname Distribution has acquired the rights for France. The modern Romeo & Juliet story is expected to be released in French cinemas in mid-March. Black is the story of 15-year-old Mavela. When she falls head over heels in love with Marwan, a boy from a rival Brussels gang, both are brutally forced to choose between loyalty and love. The main cast consists of young talent such as Martha Canga Antonio and Aboubakr Bensaïhi.
