British actor and screenwriter Colin Welland has died at the age of 81 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Welland acted in films such as "Kes", "Straw Dogs" and "Sweeney!" and wrote the screenplay for the four-Oscar-winning British film "Chariots of Fire."
