Last September, the Dutch Filmers Academy (DFA) was founded by the Fotovakschool in Rotterdam. DFA focuses on creative and artistic work, but with a clear communicative purpose. Paul Akkermans, director of the Fotovakschool: 'The enthusiastic full classes show that there is also enough interest from students for a film academy with an enterprising character.' As an initiative of the Fotovakschool, Dutch Filmers Academy has a solid foundation with 75 years of experience in education within the creative domain. The new film course responds to 'the market demand for enterprising filmmakers who enrich the business community with their work'.
