Filmmaker Laura Torenbeek won prizes last week at the LA Femme film festival in Los Angeles. She won in the 'Best Student Short' category for her film Leaves in Fall. This film is about the 9-year-old girl Hannah who has to get used to her new stepmother during a holiday. Torenbeek graduated from the HKU Audiovisual Media course in 2013.
