It was recently announced that 'IKON Mensjesrechten' has won the international Unicef Japan Prize with the documentary 'How Ky became Niels'. This documentary premiered last season. The jury describes it as follows: 'An excellent work that promotes understanding of the lives of children in difficult situations.' The youth documentary about a girl who wants to become a boy, by director Els van Driel, was awarded a Rockie Award earlier this year. A new series of 'Human Rights' documentaries from IKON starts on Sunday, November 1. 'Hotspot' by director Willem Baptist is about the right to grow up safely.
