The Pathé Arnhem was officially opened on October 20. One of the nine halls in the new cinema complex has the largest IMAX screen in the Netherlands: 12 by 21 m. This hall has – for the first time in the Netherlands – been specially designed as an IMAX hall, says Joost Grootings, theater manager of Pathé Arnhem. 'This means that the room structure is a bit steeper, so that everyone sits closer to the screen. To make the room as quiet as possible, it has been designed as a box-in-box-in-box, with floating floors and loose ceilings.'
