The Dutch film distributor Dutch Filmworks has plans to claim damages from individual Dutch Popcorn Time users. The distributor confirms this to NOS. People can watch films and TV series without paying via Popcorn Time. Tim Kuik, director of the Brein foundation, said earlier today that several copyright holders are "watering at the mouth", including due to the arrival of Popcorn Time. According to Kuik, this means there is a need to start business. Brein itself does not plan to go after individual users for the time being.
