During the Evening of the Film Profession at the Film Fest Ghent, Flemish Minister of Culture Sven Gatz presented the Flemish Culture Prize for Film 2014 to Sam Louwyck. "He is a jack of all trades as an actor, dancer, choreographer and singer," according to Gatz. The jury praised Sam Louwyck - seen last year in the Grand Prix-winning film Le Meraviglie at the Cannes Film Festival, and at the Film Fest Ghent in D'Ardennen, Les Cowboys, Brak and the fiction series Bevergem - for its 'cosmopolitan character'.
