Anyone who would like to see a live performance of the Bolshoi ballet from Moscow, or a performance by the Metropolitan Opera in New York, does not have to go to Russia or the US. Thanks to digitalization, the traditional film house is rapidly transforming into a multifunctional entertainment center. It is the way in which cinema chain Pathe intends to remain market leader in the Netherlands and recoup major investments in new cinemas.
