The European Commission has published a new MEDIA call for Support for Film Festivals. With this call, the European Union aims to support public outreach as a means of stimulating interest in and access to European audiovisual works, in particular through promotion, events, film education and festivals, initiatives that promote a variety of European audiovisual presenting and promoting works and activities aimed at increasing the public's knowledge and interest in European audiovisual works.
