Filmnieuws
Under the name Belgian Cinema Today, the Film Fest Ghent, which starts on October 13, offers its visitors a range of Flemish cinema. This year's program includes no fewer than five Flemish feature films, a fiction series, more than a dozen short films and two co-productions with Flanders. The Film Fest Ghent opens its 42nd edition with D'Ardennen (produced by Savage Film), Robin Pront's feature debut, which achieved great acclaim last summer during its world premiere in Toronto. We see Kevin Janssens, Jeroen Perceval and Veerle Baetens in the leading roles. The film is preceded by Tank, the new short film by Flemish animation pioneer Raoul Servais, with which he presents a free interpretation of the first tank attack in WWI.
