During an open-air performance at the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam-Noord on Monday evening, a baby was born halfway through the film Almost Famous on the NDSM site. The baby was born shortly after the break, says Driving North organizer Roelof Fruithof. "The couple had already indicated in advance that they would like to stand close to the exit because the woman was pregnant," says Fruithof. But shortly after the break it became apparent that the couple might have been better off staying home. "The first aid post was called with the announcement that the lady was in labor." The newborn son is named after one of the main characters from the film: William.
