Under the Apple Tree by director Erik van Schaaik won the Golden Calf for the Best Short Film. The blackly comic stop-motion film is a co-production of Pedri Animation (Netherlands) and Beast Animation (Belgium). Six months ago, a successful crowdfunding campaign was launched by the makers. Two hours after the Golden Calf, Under the Apple Tree also wins the prize of Festival Favorite at the NFF.
