Since this week, Un début prometteur, Emma Luchini's second feature film, has been showing in France. Actress Veerle Baetens plays the flamboyant Mathilde, alongside star actors Fabrice Luchini and Manu Payet, a role that has earned her the necessary praise in various French media. Luchini's Un début prometteur tells the story of Martin who, disillusioned by love, goes back to live with his father. He does everything he can to make his 16-year-old brother hate love. But that is without counting the eccentric Mathilde, a young woman who leaves neither brother untouched.
