The thriller The Gift, one of the big surprises in American cinemas this summer, is coming to the Netherlands. Distributor Remain in Light will release the film on November 5, a spokeswoman recently announced. Actor and director Joel Edgerton made the film for a few million dollars. But thanks to lyrical reviews and a clever online campaign, The Gift grossed almost tenfold this summer. The film was the most visited title in its opening weekend, after expensive blockbusters such as Mission: Impossible 5 and Fantastic Four.
