The fifth edition of Cracking the Frame starts this week. The program consists of rarely shown films about artists, writers, dancers and musicians. The series kicks off with a portrait of the legendary director Robert Altman. This is followed by a selection of art-related documentaries, with many Dutch premieres. Ron Mann's Altman was shown at the Venice Film Festival and was labeled by Indiewire as a 'valuable document' and 'official biography of a great filmmaker'. The screening on September 23 in Rialto is the Dutch premiere.
