The winner of the Cartoon d'Or was recently announced in the French city of Toulouse. This is a prestigious award that is presented every year to the Best Short Animated Film in Europe. In addition to international fame, the prize also includes an amount of 10,000 euros that the makers can use for a next film. Last month, 6 films were nominated from 31 candidates. One of them was A Single Life by the Dutch Job, Joris & Marieke, but the film lost to a competitor who, like them, was nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film earlier this year.
