Paris-based Diaphana Distribution has acquired the French rights to Robin Pront's feature debut D'Ardennen. After the world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, an intense battle broke out between several French distributors on Monday evening. That 'bidding war' was settled in Diaphana's favor last night. It was previously announced that the rights for Italy were sold to Satine Films before the first public screening in Toronto. Several other deals are expected to close in the coming weeks.
