The short film Lili by director An van Dienderen is one of the 12 films competing for the new Short Film Award at the 59th BFI London Film Festival. In addition to Lili, the short Flemish films Black and Empire will also be shown in London. With the announcement of the short film programs and competition, the full selection for the Festival has now been completed. The BFI London Film Festival's new short film award recognizes films that demonstrate a very distinctive cinematographic style, and tackle their theme and content in a confident, original way.
