The number of cinema visitors is increasing, but the number of theaters is increasing even faster. In Utrecht, both mega cinemas and film houses are moving. Apparently, Dutch cinemas are doing well. The visitor extras for the first half of 2015 show an increase of 12 percent compared to the same period in 2014. There were 31 million cinema visitors in 2014. Remarkable, in the age of Netflix, HBO and other pay film channels.
