The Dutch film distributor A-Film is bankrupt. The company, which has distributed The Lord of the Rings films, among others, is requesting a deferment of payment on Monday. The company can no longer meet its financial obligations. The direct reason for the suspension of payments is Rabobank's refusal to provide the company with loans. According to sources, the bank has more than fifteen million euros in loans outstanding with the company. A-Film was founded in 1999 by San Fu Maltha and Pim Hermeling. The company experienced spectacular growth in a short time.
