At the end of this month, another chapter of Dutch cinema history will be closed. Pathé Rembrandt in Arnhem is closing after 61 years. A brand new cinema will take its place, with eight screens that are technically up to date and offer more comfort. What is happening to Arnhem's Rembrandt Theater is the fate of more and more small, mainly older cinemas in the inner cities. They are exchanged for a multiplex, often housed on arterial roads and equipped with ample parking facilities
