The arrival of a new Pathé complex in Leeuwarden seems almost certain now that the operator and the municipality have signed a letter of intent. Pathé director Lauge Nielsen confirmed this to Holland Film News. It would be a cinema complex with seven screens and 1,000 seats behind the Court of Appeal in Leeuwarden. Competitor Kinepolis is working on new construction projects in Dordrecht (2016), Breda (2016) and Utrecht Jaarbeurs (2017).
