Against the backdrop of the industrial Sphinxkwartier in Maastricht, the first cross-border documentary film festival will take place on September 18 & 19, 2015: DocFest. Stories for everyone around the theme of borders in the broadest sense of the word. Workshops, debates, interviews, mini cinemas, a food garden and a free open-air film provide the extra festival atmosphere. DocFest is a collaboration with Lumière Cinema Maastricht, which also provides the programming. The film program of the first edition of DocFest consists of 27 documentaries, with ample attention to films from the Euroregion, supplemented with international documentaries about borders, migration and integration.
