The shoot of De Held, the long-awaited film adaptation of the award-winning novel by Jessica Durlacher, will start in October. The leading role is played by Monic Hendrickx. Fedja van Huêt plays her husband, Thijs Boermans her son and Susan Visser takes on the role of sister. The story of De Held revolves around Sara (Hendrickx), who returns to her parental home from LA with her family. When her father dies shortly afterwards, she herself is assaulted and her daughter is threatened, she finally discovers the secrets that her father has kept to himself since the war. The thriller is scheduled for release in mid-2016.
