The twelve films for the film and literature competition at the Film by the Sea film festival have been announced. The battle for the best book adaptation opens with the classic 'Madame Bovary'. Gustave Flaubert's famous book was previously filmed in 1949, 1991 and 2000. The film tells the story of a peasant girl with a romantic longing for a grand and compelling life.
