The 75th birthday of poet and comedian Hans Dorrestijn this year will not go unnoticed. The documentary The Art of Suffering, which is about Dorrestijn, will have its world premiere at the Dutch Film Festival on September 26. In addition to Dorrestijn himself, the film features various friends and colleagues of the cynical comedian, including Jacques Kloters, Rob Chrispijn and the women's group Zazi, with whom Dorrestijn performed last season. The documentary also contains unique fragments of performances and television programs that he worked on.
