With Moving Mesdag, Menno Otten pays tribute to the artist Hendrik Willem Mesdag, who died 100 years ago. The inspiration for this project arose from 'Living Paintings', a series by artist Menno Otten, which uses the latest digital and cinematographic techniques to bring old masters to life. His work, combined with the latest 'curved screens' from Samsung, led to the idea for Moving Mesdag. Moving Mesdag can be visited during SAIL Amsterdam from 19 to 23 August. The artwork can then be seen on Museumplein during the Amsterdam Uitmarkt and ART Zuid.
