On August 6, 1945, American pilot Paul Tibbets dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Seventy years after the bomb was dropped, 'Hiroshima mon amour' is again showing in Dutch cinemas. EYE Film Museum in Amsterdam recently digitally restored the work and from today the print will be shown again in various cities in the Northern Netherlands. Quite rightly so, because the film still looks modern in 2015 and makes us think about the power of memory.
