Out of curiosity about the interaction possibilities between literature and games, the Dutch Literature Fund and the Game Fund launched the Open Call for Literary Games at the end of April. Authors and game developers could submit a proposal within this Open Call for the joint development of a literary gaming experience. The response to the Open Call was great, 47 proposals from the Netherlands and Flanders were submitted. The advisory committee is enthusiastic about the quality of the participating parties, both on the authors' and developers' sides.
