Spanish-Dutch director Isabel Lamberti made the short film Volando Voy as her final project at the film academy, about the adventurous journey that brothers Jésus and David take from school to home through the Cañada Real slum in Madrid. “I come to Spain every year because I have family there. I've always said that I wanted to make my graduation film there. When I had to develop an idea, I started looking for what was going on there in Spain. During my research I came across an article about a slum in Madrid. I didn't even know there was a slum in Madrid, so I thought that was interesting."
