Discovery Networks acquires full control of pan-European sports channel Eurosport. The media giant, whose main shareholder is 'cable king' John Malone, pays partner TF1 491 million euros for its 49 percent stake in the channel. Discovery Networks is the media group above international channels such as Animal Planet and Discovery Channel. The American group has been on a campaign of conquest in Europe for some time now. No TV channel can be put up for sale on our continent without Discovery being mentioned as a potential acquirer.
