Screenwriter Piet Geelhoed passed away on Thursday at the age of 71. NTR announced this on Monday. Over the course of his long career as a writer, director and editor, Geelhoed has always fought to give youth radio, television and film a mature place in the media landscape. He has built up an extensive oeuvre of radio programs, television programs and film scripts. He received the Golden Cinekid Lion in 2005 for his special services in the field of visual culture for children. Geelhoed was the regular screenwriter of filmmaker Karst van der Meulen.
