During the film festival in Karlovy Vary on July 5, the ten nominated films that competed for the European Parliament's LUX Prize were announced. There was no Dutch project this year. The aim of the LUX Prize is to support European film and highlight its social and cultural values. The selection was announced by MEPs Pavel Svoboda, Bogdan Wenta, LUX prize coordinator Doris Pack and artistic director of Karlovy Vary and jury member Karel Och.
