The new film production incentive in the Netherlands (Netherlands Film Production Incentive) has given a substantial boost to production activity in the Dutch film industry in its first year. Since the start in June 2014, 92 film projects have been supported, including 71 feature films, 19 documentaries and 2 animated films, for a total amount of more than 22.3 million euros. The total production budget that will be spent in the Netherlands for these projects is more than 108 million euros. To date, 14 film productions have premiered, 48 are currently in production and 30 projects are in the final stages of financing.
