Biserka Šuran graduated from the Film Academy this year with her film Allez, Viens!, a documentary about the De Mandril residential group in Maastricht. Biserka comes into contact with film for the first time at the IVKO. At sixteen she applies for the Film Academy, but is not accepted. She will study Media and Entertainment Management and, as part of that course, will make the documentary Uit Liefde about men who are abused by their female partners. With that film – broadcast by VPRO in May 2012 – she was accepted.
